It is that time to sign up for private lessons through the Collins Hill Music Institute! The Collins Hill Band program is pleased to welcome some of the best private instructors to our facilities to offer private lessons to your students. The Collins Hill Music Institute offers private instruction for band students at Collins Hill High School and Creekland Middle School. The Music Institute is designed to provide quality private instruction that is convenient and comfortable for our students and families. Lessons will be held at Collins Hill High School with highly qualified musicians who specialize on their instruments. Our Collins Hill Music Institute (CHMI) faculty are some of the best musicians in this region and we are proud to have them be associated with our program and students. Attached to this email you will find the CHMI Student and Instructor Policies for 2018-2019. *Note that these have changed since last year!* In the policies you will find the pricing, attendance & cancelation policies, as well as other useful information regarding your participation in this program. In short, we are happy to offer private lessons on either a weekly or bi-weekly basis for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. The pricing structure is as follows:
30 minutes = $33/lesson
45 minutes = $43/lesson
60 minutes = $53/lesson (BEST DEAL!!)
Many of our teachers are charging less than their standard rate through this program to teach your students and we are very thankful for that! You do not want to miss out on this opportunity! Private study on an instrument is the fastest way to attain individual improvement. It is only through private study that a professional will hear the student play on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Students will focus on fundamental skills that are particular to their instrument. These are aspects of development that are harder to address in a full band setting. By developing a command of the instrument, the student’s enjoyment increases and his or her desire to learn fuels future success. Instructors provide individualized assignments and feedback specific to the student’s particular strengths and weaknesses. Private study develops a life-long love of music, places demand on individual discipline and enhances self-esteem. Much attention can be given to preparing for auditions for District Honor Band, All-State, college admissions, and scholarships.
